Groton School Faculty Housing 2023

Groton, MA

As the conversion of a large, early 20th Century home, this project created three faculty housing units that are all-electric, have a super tight, energy efficient envelope and are supported by a solar electric field adjacent the building’s grounds as well as EV charging stations for residents. One of the project requirements was to maintain the historic look and feel of the building.

JH Spain renovated approximately 8,000 square feet into three units for faculty housing, making it ready for occupancy in the late summer of 2023.

Close attention to both the exterior and interior finishing details was completed under the watchful eye of architect Bruce Wood so that the housing’s aesthetic features blend seamlessly into the historic campus environment.
