Your new home should be an expression of how you want to live. It should be fun to get up in the morning. Making coffee, getting the kids ready for school or the adults off to work should be an easy routine in step with the tempo of your life.
A home like that starts with good planning and you probably need some help with it. That's why we designed our creative conference space at our headquarters at 214 North State Street in Concord, New Hampshire.
Come visit us at our new office where we can sit down together and do some exciting brain-storming. It's a big comfortable space flooded with natural light, generous windows with relaxing views where your imagination thrives and new ideas are born.
The new creative conference space is really a showroom of construction possibilities displaying the latest in materials, sidings, roofing systems, bath fixtures, kitchen appointments, flooring options and more.
Your Role in the Process
To take advantage of all these construction and design possibilities you will meet with our Home Selection and Contract Team in our show room at our headquarters on North State Street in Concord. This is really the beginning of our home building relationship when we can work together to create the kind of living spaces that accommodates your unique way of life. WE will spend plenty of time browsing an exciting variety of home design concepts as you decide on the one that appeals most to you. This is the point at which we can complete the contract.
Financing
J.H. Spain Residential Neighborhoods are marketed through local real estate brokerages. Your financial arrangements including the mortgage and letter of committment can be completed through the financial institutions.
The Floorplan
The next step is a meeting with our Customer Service Director, Architect and Construction Foreman to confirm the final layout for each of the living spaces in your new home. All structural details are final at this stage of the process.
Exterior Features
The exterior features of your home are displayed in our showroom. You will be given samples to bring home and make your selections. Siding, trim, roofing, shutters and exterior doors are specified. This is a very important stage in the design process because these features determine the character of your home and its visual statement to your neighbors.
The Kitchen
Your kitchen is the focal point of the home. J.H. Spain has specified in your home contract one of New Hampshire's leading suppliers of kitchen cabinets. You may contact them directly to order the features and style you prefer.
Electrical Details
J.H. Spain's Construction Foreman will lead you and the electrical subcontractor on a detailed inspection of the shell of your new home. This is when you can make final decisions on the location of lighting fixtures, cables, phone lines and other electrical items you desire. All J.H. Spain homes are designed to meet BOCA code requirements.
Appliances, Lighting, Special Features
Your home contract contains allowances for kitchen appliances, household lighting fixtures andother special features. You may arrange for purchase of these items at sources of your choice.
A Variety of Flooring and Wall Coverings
Individual preferences lead to a wide variety of colors and materials in flooring and wall coverings. You have an exciting variety of choices. This truely is the "fun" part of creating your home.
Walk-through, "punch list" and Move-In Day!
This is the last step in the building process. An appointment will be scheduled at your convenience with our Customer Service director and Closing Foreman. They will take you on a walk-through in your completed home. At this point, a "punch list" will be made containing finish details that must be completed before that wonderful move-in day, the day we will all celebrate together!
